What list formats are available?
The most common format is a CSV (Excel). This file format will automatically open in Excel. This format works with MarketSharp, Excel, Outlook, Access, ACT!, Lotus Products, Word Perfect and most other popular software programs. You can also choose ASCII Fixed Width, Comma Delimited, or MarketSharp Software file format. If you’re not sure what format is best for your needs click Contact Us to e-mail or call a List Specialist.

What information do I get with a list?
The list will include base record information plus any additional Basic Demographics or Advanced Demographics you’ve selected. Base record information includes the following: prefix title, first name, last name, address, city, state, zip, zip+4, and delivery point. If you also selected age 34+ and income $50,000+ then age and income will also be output along with the base record information.

What sources are used to compile the database?
Our database remains remarkably accurate and dependable because of constant updating and our unique data compilation methodology. New information is incorporated as soon as it becomes available and new sources are continually being sought to further enrich the file. We gather data from a variety of sources including:
  • Telephone directories from coast-to-coast.
  • Public record and real estate information
  • Mail order buyers/magazine subscribers.
  • Census data
  • Consumer-supplied data
  • surveys and product registration cards.
  • And many other public and proprietary sources.
How often is the data updated?
We rebuild the entire file from scratch every two months. It's the best consumer information available. We start with over 800 million name and address records only from multiple source contributors i.e. white pages, real property data, and other sources. The 800 million records are processed via National Change of Address (NCOA), Delivery Sequence File (DSF), Locatable Address Conversion Service (LACS), and AbiliTec and BestAddress. Additionally the data is passed against suppression files to eliminate consumers or telephone numbers as appropriate: Our Decease File, State Attorney General (SAG) data, the Direct Marketing Association's (DMA) do-not-mail and do-not-call lists, and the national FTC do-not-call file.

What does a list cost?
The base cost is 4 cents per record regardless of quantity. There is a minimum order of 100 records. The base price of 4 cents per record allows you to select on Geography and Basic Demographic selects. Advanced Demographic selects are available for an additional charge. You’ll find pricing for Advanced Demographic selects listed on the Advanced Demographic Selects page. For orders of over 100,000 records call for special pricing.
